ENERGY STAR® appliances help you save energy, water, and money while delivering dependable, high-performance results. From refrigerators to washers and more, ENERGY STAR® products are designed to perform better while using less. The City of Tallahassee Utilities offers rebates on qualifying models, making it easier to upgrade your old appliances and start saving right away.

  • Dish Washer
    $40 Rebate
    ENERGY STAR® Certified
ENERGY STAR® certified dishwashers are approximately 20% more energy efficient than standard models, use less water and only cost about $50 per year to operate. When compared to washing dishes by hand, an ENERGY STAR® certified dishwasher can save the average household about $3,300 in utility costs over the appliance's lifetime.

  • Freezer
    $40 Rebate
    ENERGY STAR® Certified
ENERGY STAR® certified freezers deliver reliable food preservation while using at least 10% less energy than models meeting federal minimum efficiency standards. High-efficiency compressors, enhanced insulation, and advanced temperature and defrost controls help maintain consistent temperatures, reduce energy waste, and lower operating costs. The result is dependable performance and long-term energy savings.

  • Refrigerator
    $75 Rebate
    ENERGY STAR® Certified
ENERGY STAR® certified refrigerator helps you save on energy costs without sacrificing performance or features. Using about 9% less energy than standard models, these refrigerators combine efficiency with advanced technology to provide reliable food preservation, lower utility bills, and long-term savings for your home.

  • Clothes Washer
    $100 Rebate
    ENERGY STAR® Certified
ENERGY STAR® certified clothes washers help you save money with every load by using about 20% less energy and 30% less water than standard models delivering efficient, high-performance cleaning while reducing utility costs. Over its lifetime, an ENERGY STAR® certified washer can save you approximately $530 in energy expenses.

  • Pool Pump (variable speed)
    $200 Rebate
    ENERGY STAR® Certified
ENERGY STAR® variable speed pool pumps help reduce energy costs by running at lower speeds for longer periods. These pumps provide quieter operation, improved filtration, and reduced wear on pool equipment. These features help extend the life of the pump and associated system components while maintaining clean, well-circulated water.

  • Heat Pump Clothes Dryer
    $200 Rebate
    ENERGY STAR® Certified
ENERGY STAR® certified heat pump clothes dryers use advanced technology to recycle heat rather than vent it outside, delivering exceptional efficiency and lower operating costs. Using up to 70% less energy than conventional dryers, they can save homeowners more than $500 over the life of the appliance. Modern heat pump clothes dryers also offer drying times comparable to traditional models. These dryers are ventless and can be installed almost anywhere, but they require adequate space, ventilation, and clearance to operate efficiently and safely.
  • Induction Cooktop or Range
    $200 Rebate
    ENERGY STAR® Certified
ENERGY STAR® certified induction cooktops deliver fast, precise cooking with exceptional efficiency. Induction cooktops are among the most energy-efficient cooking technologies available, transferring approximately 85–90% of energy directly to cookware compared with about 32–40% for natural gas cooktops. This direct transfer reduces wasted energy, improves cooking performance, and can help lower energy use.
